On September 1st, 2020, the new European FET-Open project QUROPE has kicked off. Its ambitious goal is to build a quantum repeater architecture using on-demand photonic entanglement (find out more at https://www.qurope-team.eu/ or https://twitter.com/qurope_eu). The quantum photonic lab is a partner of the QUROPE consortium and will be working to develop a broadband solid-state quantum memory for telecom photons with rare earth doped crystals.
